Where are your offices located?
We have four office locations: Two in Mineola and one each in Lynbrook and Hewlett.
How do I make an appointment?
Women's Contemporary Care Associates is open for appointments Monday through Friday, including most evenings and some weekends. You can also make an appointment with one of our general OB/GYN doctors online here.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
You may wish to complete our new patient forms prior to your first visit. Click here to access these forms. Please also bring a photo ID and your insurance card to every visit.
What medical insurance is accepted?
While we take nearly every type of insurance, we recommend that you call us at 516.633.3010 for detailed questions.
Do I need a referral?
You may need a referral, depending on the subspecialty area. We suggest that you call your insurance company prior to making an appointment to see if a referral is required.
Does the practice have female and male physicians?
Yes, we have both male and female physicians in our maternal-fetal medicine, general OB/GYN, and gynecologic oncology divisions.
Does the practice have any specialty areas besides general obstetrics and gynecology?
Yes, WCCA has specialists in urogynecology, high risk obstetrics, diabetics and adverse pregnancy outcomes, gynecologic oncology as well as access to reproductive endocrinology services.
When should a woman begin seeing a gynecologist?
We recommend a woman see a gynecologist every year after 21 years of age or earlier if sexually active. We recommend an initial gynecological visit between the ages of 13 and 15 to discuss menstrual related issues, vaccinations, and healthy behaviors and choices. Our practice takes special care treating pre-teens and teens.
What hospital(s) are the practice's physicians associated with?
Women's Contemporary Care Associates and its physicians are affiliated with Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, New York. We provide the highest level of medical care to our patients through both the comprehensive and technologically advanced outpatient practice and the Hospital's state-of-the-art inpatient facility. This enables our physicians to prescribe the best methods of care without limit to resources or knowledge.
Where would I deliver my baby?
All of our physicians have privileges at Winthrop-University Hospital. All babies are delivered in the New Life Center. For more information on the New Life Center, click here.
Does the practice offer a midwife?
No, we do not currently offer midwifery services.
How can I refill a prescription?
Patients seen at 120 Mineola Boulevard: If you need a refill of your prescription, call our office at 516.663.3010 and press option 4. Spell your name clearly, and provide your date of birth, the name of the medication, and your contact and pharmacy phone numbers. All refill requests will be completed within 48 hours. Call your pharmacy to check if your prescription is available for pick up.
Patients seen at 444 Merrick Road, Lynbrook: If you need a refill of your prescription, call our office at 516.536.5656 and ask to speak with a nurse. Spell your name clearly, and provide your date of birth, the name of the medication, and your contact and pharmacy phone numbers. All refill requests will be completed within 48 hours. Call your pharmacy to check if your prescription is available for pick up.
How can I get the results of a test I had taken?
If you need test results, call our Mineola office at 516.663.3010 and press option 4. Spell your name clearly, and provide your date of birth, the name of the test, when and where the test was done, as well as your phone number. Someone will return your call within 48 hours with your test results.
